It's just the right time to think about a Valentine's Day smile:

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and I know you'd love to do something special for your partners, or maybe you’re single, and just want to look your best!

Whatever your needs are ahead of the most romantic day, there’s still time to get a helping hand from your dentist.

Your smile is the most important and noticeable part of your face and it’s often the first thing people see when they meet you.

A beautiful, natural and healthy smile is a huge leg-up in any social situation, but our habits and lifestyles often damage or stain our teeth.

In addition to a good cleaning, tooth whitening can restore your teeth to their colour before being stained over time by tobacco, coffee, or red wine and other lifestyle factors.

In an enclosed space, not many things can kill the mood like bad breath. A good teeth cleaning from our staff can remove the detritus which builds up over time, refreshing your smile and your breath!

If you’re thinking of the long-term (maybe even of your wedding pictures!), it’s always a good time to think about having your teeth straightened!

Our invisible braces will let you transform your smile without the hassle or embarrassment of traditional metal braces.

If you have any enquiries about our services, don’t hesitate to get in touch! We’re available by phone, email, or you can find me on social media:

I know you want to enjoy a few pies and drinks this Christmas, so I've got a few festive tips for your teeth:

While Christmas is a time of indulgence, it helps to have a few tips for your teeth!

We all like to indulge a little over the Christmas period, and while we're visiting friends and relatives it gets hard to keep refusing drinks and pies!

The best thing you can for your family's teeth over Christmas is to refrain from sugary snacks and have fresh fruits instead, but as someone with children of my own, I know that's not a simple task!

If your kids (or you yourself!) are going to eat some sugary foods this Christmas, there's a few things you can do to lessen the effects.

You can keep on top of your oral health with a few simple tips:

  • If you eat a sugary snack or food, rinse your mouth with water afterwards. It will help stop the sugar from settling on your teeth and causing damage.
  • Wait at least ten minutes after eating sugary foods before brushing your teeth, as this can actually damage them!
  • Brush early on Christmas Day, before eating, and don't rinse with water afterwards. Letting the flouride settle on your teeth will help protect them during the day.
  • Try not to "graze," eating all small food items day. Try to limit eating to actual mealtimes, and finish with a soft cheese if possible.
  • The party season often means meeting a lot of people in close quarters. You can floss at night to keep your breath fresh!
  • If you're planning to have a drink, avoid lots of sugar early in the morning. While your liver is processing the sugar, it will have a harder time processing the alcohol later in the day. You and your teeth could end up a little worse for wear!

Keep these tips in mind, and hopefully you won't do too much damage to your festivities or your smile!
